always a favourite with
Moroccan runners, Adil
Kaouch, world
vice-champion over 1.500
m was an easy winner and
pocketed the gold medal,
with Abdelkrim Zahraoui
just behind to take the
silver. The Rwandi
Dieudonné Dissi was
third.
