Football: Angola Test With Morocco Ahead Of CAN’08

Luanda, 01/14 – The Angolan national soccer team will on Tuesday travel to Rabat city to face Morocco in a preparation match ahead of the Cup of African Nations (CAN), to take place from 20 January to 10 February 2008, in Ghana.

The team`s spokesperson, Manuel Quizembo, said that the match is scheduled to happen on Wednesday afternoon in the North African country`s capital, Rabat.

The embarkation for Tamale city, north of Ghana, where Angola will play the preliminaries of group D of CAN, is set for Thursday.

During the preparation for continental competition, the national squad beat Cote d`Ivoire (2-1), the Willen II of Netherlands (1-0), Portimonense of Portugal (2-1), drew 3-3 against Egypt and lost to Guinea Conakry (1-3) and Canary Island (1-2).

The Angolan national team were drawn in group D with South Africa, Tunisia and Senegal.
