The jobless swelled to 1.092 million last year when the agriculture industry shed 18,000 jobs while the non-farming economy created 117,000 jobs, less than an average of 130,000 recorded in the past decade.
Manufacturing industry led other sectors in creating 42,000 new jobs, with services and construction and information technology adding the other 75,000 jobs, the High Planning Commission added.
